Climb Out of the Darkness – Lehi, UT

We are happy to share that there were will be a Climb Out of the Darkness hike in Lehi, Utah for Postpartum Support International‘s annual world-wide hike event.
We are thrilled that Lexi Ramirez has decided to be a climb leader for this event. Lexi is a brave mother who struggled with postpartum depression and anxiety about two years ago during her son’s first year. Because she survived she wants to support other women who have struggled with postpartum depression, anxiety or any other perinatal mood disorders by hosting and organizing a hike in Utah County.
Climb Out of the Darkness is a special hike organized by PSI (which is a world-wide non-profit organization) that brings survivors, family, friends, and others across the globe joining together to climb mountains and hike trails to represent their symbolic rise out of the darkness of perinatal mental health crises and into the light of hope and recovery. This is the sixth annual Climb Out of the Darkness event that is always held on or near the longest day of the year to shine the most possible light on maternal mental illness.
Team Lehi, Utah by Lexi Ramirez will be on Saturday, June 16th at 9:00 a.m. at the Battle Creek Falls trail near Pleasant Grove.

The event is free to join and does not cost anything. However, there is an option to donate any amount you want or can towards Lexi’s fundraising. The funds will go directly to the Utah Chapter of Postpartum Support International that works to help women with PPD and other similar issues receive the treatment and support that they need locally in Utah.
